Sponsor a child
Every child in Hunehar is supported by a sponsor somewhere around the world. The sponsor donates 3000Rs/month (12 USD, 13 GBP, 22 CAD) which is utilized to support the education of their sponsored child and provide them with uniforms, stationary and bags. Sponsors recieve regular updates about their sponsored child.
Sponsor a teacher
One of our goals at Hunehar is to empower the women of Mehrabadi and provide employment opportunities close to their homes. Our current faculty including all our teachers and principal are exclusively female and are teaching under the mentorship of Ms Saima Rehman (Principal Roots School System). Our teachers are trained to teach the Oxford International curriculum.
Sponsor school lunch
Food insecurity remains one of the leading problems of Mehrabadi. In order to provide nutritious meals to the children, Hunehar initiated the “Lunch Sponsorship program” in 2021. Children are provided meals during their recess and encouraged to eat a balanced diet at home.
One time donations
If you feel like commitment to monthly sponsorship is not suitable for you, you can always make a one time donation to Hunehar. Your donation will be used to towards infrastructural costs of the school. Our organization also saves donations with the hope that one day we will be sending these children to colleges and universities.
Join team Hunehar
Hunehar is a student run organization and is always open to high school and university students who want to join our team. Our team currently consists of students from universities from all over Pakistan including NUST, Fast, Shifa College of Medicine, AKU, FUMC, FMDC, LUMS, LSE, Beaconhouse Margalla, Roots School System, LGS, Westminster and many more.
Sponsor our Library and Computer Lab
Both libraries and computer labs provide a quite space for children to study and encourage them to read. They equip children with lifelong learning and literacy skills, enabling them to participate and contribute to the community. At Hunehar, we have protected time for our students to use these facilities and explore their interests outside of the classroom.
