"Im one of those people who hate children and they hate me back. Its a mutual thing. So when i was dragged to the second Hunerhar event by my sister, various thoughts were running through my mind, by all means i was a nervous wreck.As soon as i saw a kid huddled in a corner, all by himself, all thoughts flew out the window and the next second, i was sitting right next to him.He told me his name was Maaz. That 7 year old told me about his family and his school.Seeing the child so happy made me feel content for the first time in my life. Maaz inspired me to do more good in life. I used to ignore the kids who would come to me in a crowded market, asking me to buy something from them but now i see a Maaz in every kid. That kid changed me in the best way possible. "When Team Hunehar contacted me few years back for this unique and honorable idea of sponsoring one poor child for education, I myself was thrilled because being heavily busy in our routine job and family matters, many professionals like us, even though heartedly wanting to take active part in social welfare, can not take out time to give back to our society. But this was the right platform. I started it as an experiment for the first year as I was not fully aware about Hunehar's capabilities but then this team kept moving forward like a formidable force and day by day, month by month and year by year, they increased their pool of sponsored children, they kept raising funds on their own and they even started promoting Hunehar outside Pakistan. The best thing about Hunehar is that they kept vigilant checks on the progress of all the children and kept their sponsors updated all the time.
